What's it like to be married? Are you married? Have you ever been, or are you about to be married?
Moriarty and I had a problem this week. The camper wouldn't start. Was it the starter? Or a bad battery? The battery is the heart of the vehicles that drive us through life. A bad battery is like having heart disease.
We didn't know, yesterday, what the diagnosis was. The past two days - my wife and I have been trying to cure the camper of whatever the hell ails it. We hoped it was only the battery. That's a heart problem, but heart problems can be solved these days. We hoped it wasn't the starter. That's the brain of the thing.
Long story short. The two of us figured it out. Made the right connections. We worked together doing something neither of us feel comfortable doing. I couldn't have done this job alone, and neither could she.
That's marriage.

Too "out there" for me, Terry...
Was it an RV problem, or was it a marriage issue?
Maybe no need to know. Why the post?
jc
Why the post? Just giving us a pat on the back for working a day and a half to get the camper started. And we did it. Slice of life.
That was a nice tribute to your great relationship - I am envious! :) Thank you for sharing. Are you on the road again?
KD
Oh. I completely missed the point. sorry!
jc
Terrence I think you have found a new untapped market. How about writing a love/relationship advice column in Popular mechanics magazine.
I can almost see Tim Taylor on Home Improvement explaining marriage to his kid or Al while looking under the hood of his car and fidgeting with the battery in his garage.
I can imagine a whole series of battery themed articles. Besides just "Making the connection" You could write about "Keeping the spark alive", "Jump starting your relationship", "Keeping things running smoothly", "Staying Positive",etc.
Thanks KD.
jc, Sometimes, finding " the point " of my stuff is like loking for the proverbial needle in the haystack.

That is HILARIOUS!!! Check out my next post. It'll be based on your brilliant idea.
