Diane and I were just speaking of same at dinner last night......being a bit of a Luddite it makes me happy.
I have an old manual typewriter on my desk next to my slide rule, my clepsydra, and my log tables. I lost my quill and inkwell during my last move.The "L" is missing from the typewriter keyboard, and its performance is best described as ousy.
