Dick Clark Is Dead. He Was 82.

American Bandstand was must see TV for us baby booming brats back in the early 1960s.

How would I rate the show?

" It had a great beat, and was easy to dance to."

This guy will be missed. And what a voice!

Well, the cable news guys are all over this Dick Clark story. It's been the only news on for the past two hours ( I watch with the sound turned down as I do other stuff. I'm not velcroed to the cable fabric. It's all material... )

One of the things I'm doing as I watch ( not listen ) to the cable news, is reading Robert Caro's piece in the New Yorker. About how LBJ handled the transition from Veep to POTUS on Nov. 22, 1963.

D.C. is now getting as much face time as J.F.K. and L.B.J. got then.

American Band Wagon. All aboard.
