Thanks to Sacred Heart Easthampton's page for this photo. It shows Easthampton's Stanley Home Products, the mill where so many of the parents of my friends worked. And the mill in which I worked some summers and between college semesters. This is the factory in its hay day, during an era when job security was a reality, until it wasn't. By the mid 60s this mill was in trouble, and several of the others ones in town had gone south. Literally. These days, this mill is called East Works, and is home base for artists, shops and The Apollo Restaurant.
