I changed my blog cover the other day. The new picture: A shot of the mural on a building on Cottage Street in my hometown, Easthampton, Massachusetts. The mural and the building that is its canvas, is across the street from where The Majestic stood. The Majestic, one of those local movie theaters all small towns had. Once upon a time. A Last Picture Show kind of picture show kind of place. The Majestic.
The magic shows that were shown on the screen of that theater are things of the past. The Majestic is gone. But the hood in which it once proudly stood is blooming. The Nash Gallery. Popcorn Noir. The Manhan Cafe. Nini's. The street on which we stood in line to get into the movies - we kids - is busy being reborn.

Much of the rebirth of Easthampton is due to people like Burns Maxie, Marlies Stoddard. And behind the scenes folks, whose names are too rarely mentioned. Bruce Farr. Ed Downey. Bob Robare.
My coder is trying to convince me to move to .
net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress
on several websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my
