Connecticut Writer and NPR Talk Show Host, Colin McEnroe...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: This guy can write.

Colin's op-ed is excellent. And, I believe he has it exactly right re: Dannell Malloy.
He is an impatient man. I believe he is not the run-of-the-mill politician. He is passionate and driven about the things he believes in. Before he was Stamford mayor, my place of residence was ho-hum. Stamford was a commuter city, pretty much closed up after 5 PM. The mayor had a vision about how to bring our city back to something other than a place where people worked, and then returned to their suburban homes (or even NYC). Lo and behold, here we are in 2013, and the mayor is now governor.
He has always been clear about his beliefs about government. He is a good guy, easy to talk to, humorous, engaging.
This shooting has penetrated his soul. I have heard him, sometimes on NPR (Colin's show included), and I am convinced that Governor Malloy has found his lifelong passion. Because of this life changing event, maybe this guy will not rest until he oversees a meaningful cultural and legislative shift in policy and belief about so-called "second amendment rights".
At least, I hope so.

Thought you guys might know Malloy. I've seen him on Morning Joe. Was impressed. Colin's a tough room, and is as objective as they come. This is high praise from a reliable source. And you just doubled it down, jc. Moriarty likes him, too. Talk about tough rooms.
